I am very upset at Odysseus right now. I am upset at him because I just witnessed something I thought he would never do. I just saw him steal. Not just petty theft either he stole a lot. He stole from a Cyclops. Then he was being arrogant. All his men said lets go but Odysseus said no I want to see the Cyclops. So he got what he wanted and saw the Cyclops but the Cyclops saw him and his men too. The Cyclops traps them and holds them prisoner. So then Odysseus has to try and think of a plan to get his men out of this situation. This made me very unhappy to see that Odysseus stole and then was very arrogant. But I waited and watched to see if Odysseus could get his men out with out my help. So Odysseus was trying to get his men out of their but then the Cyclops ate two of his men. He was still thinking and then he lost another two men to the Cyclops. Then he thought he had a plan. So he had to gather all his men and explain his plan. I sat and watched wanting to interfere but I didn’t. I watched as he put his plan into action. Odysseus had all his men blind the Cyclops. Then he made his men hide under the sheep. Then when the Cyclops let out the sheep Odysseus and his men got out. I was very impressed. He was very smart and inventive. But then I got very upset very quickly. Odysseus went back to being arrogant. He started to yell at the Cyclops when they were about to leave. He almost got all his men and him killed. The Cyclops through a giant rock at them and almost hit them. That made me mad to think he could endanger all his men like that. He was lucky this time that he got out alive after he was being so arrogant.
